Is there anything I can do?
When I was a child I was a very good student and had an affinity for math and science. This was before I really came apart as an adolescent and left behind such pursuits. I remember a science project I put together about the recycling of carbon dioxide …my exhibit had cows and trees…this was in Manhattan.
Last night I watched Nova…Polar Extremes. There is no doubt in my mind that we are sending the earth rapidly down the path of an extreme “hot house” climate. As I sat in my warm house surrounded by ice and snow…this has been quite a long winter, I looked at graphs showing the profound (historically insane) increase in carbon dioxide in our atmosphere…I have always had a fondness for graphs.
Human beings love to live along the coasts unfortunately the sea level rising will overcome all these vibrant cities. Farewell to Venice, San Francisco, New York, Miami, Barcelona etc.…maybe sooner rather than later. Will I live to see this?
