These hard times are having an especially large impact on those of us out there who were, up until recently, shopaholics. Forced to quit cold turkey by a sudden shift in financial situation you may be struggling to stick to your budgets while staying stylish and up to date. For those of you out there who know exactly what I mean, I have good news, properly refurbished clothing is truly unoticeable to the average person (let alone the average man). Invest a few dollars in tacky glue, iron on seams, clearance lace or other add-ons and your entire wardrobe can be revamped!
Today i used less than a full dollar in lace as well as some tacky glue and got what would appear to be a brand new pair of shoes.

Shoes are something that really need to be invested in. Especially if you are going to wear heels for the duration of your day. Payless heels are not going to give your ankels or arches the support they need to get through the entire work day and still have the energy to get dinner on the table. I highly recommend shoes by Nina Yes they are expensive but as far as heels go they are comfortable and will last.
Four simple tips for revamping clothing:
1. When you loose weight remember that alterations are always going to be much cheaper then getting an entirely new wardrobe. I know it seems like a good reward for your efforts but get a few new key items and have alterations made to the rest.
2. Buy classical clothing that will stay in style for a while with minor ajustments, avoid impulse buys in the trendy section.
3. Swap out clothing with your girlfriends or sisters. They are all in the same situation right now, help each other out.
4. Make a party out of it. Have all of your girlfriends bring over clothes they are tired of and work on them together one night with a bottle of good wine.
